240Hz MONKEY KING or 60Hz JOSEPH?
QUESTION: Will I see noticeably worse performance with the Monkey King than the Joseph if used closer than 32″ from a monitor?
ANSWER: If your sim is running at 150fps, it will not be affected by head tracking at 60fps. 60Hz indicates how many times per second your head position is being tracked and does not affect the game’s framerate.
The 60Hz Joseph II sensor is optimized for sim pilots and drivers who sit close to their monitor, but want to enjoy all the range of motion that 240Hz sensor users enjoy that use wheels, yokes, sticks and/or sim cockpits.
Both the 240Hz Monkey King and 60Hz Joseph sensor is optimized for natural head movement for sim drivers and pilots up to and beyond the 48″ limitation of other tracking systems.
Choose the 60Hz Joseph if you sit closer than 32″. Sitting closer than 32” with the 240Hz Monkey King sensor may lose tracking when you lean in to look at your gauges, get up on the gun sight, or look down at the floor gauges. Your head and tracker may move out of the view window of the sensor and interrupt tracking.
