The Odyssey IR is a head tracking game controller for use in PC games and simulations.
You will need a modified camera that has the IR filter removed and replaced with an IR pass filter. It receives the infrared light from the Odyssey IR and tracks the position and orientation of your head. That data is sent to any of the hundreds of PC games and simulations that OpenTrack supports.
The Odyssey IR works with any AA battery including rechargeable, standard heavy duty and alkaline, providing up to 50hrs of battery life.
The Odyssey IR attaches to the included specially designed headband, or to most PC headphones. The headband is intended for those who prefer not to wear headphones.
OpenTrack software, with the Odyssey IR tracks every direction that a player’s head can move in, giving the player Six Degrees of Freedom.

The production quality of the Odyssey IR is our top priority. Ten hours of printing and assembly goes into each kit. This requires many 3D printers to meet volume demand.
